1. About the app

LekhMitra is a work assistant for Lekhpals and revenue staff. It is an independent, private app. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or operated by the Government of Uttar Pradesh, the Board of Revenue, NIC or any government department, and it does not provide official government services.

2. Not an official record

Information shown or produced by LekhMitra is for help and convenience only. It is not an official land or revenue record. Always check important information against the official government records and systems before acting on it.

3. Your account

• You must be at least 18 and give accurate information when you sign up.
• Keep your password secret. You are responsible for activity on your account.
• Tell us straight away if you think someone else is using your account.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the app for anything unlawful, or to handle data you have no right to handle.
• Try to access other people's accounts or data, or get around the app's security.
• Disrupt, overload or reverse-engineer the service.
• Present the app, or anything it produces, as an official government document or service.

5. Trademark and ownership

LekhMitra™, its logo and its design are owned by Team LekhMitra. You may not use them without written permission. The app's software and content are protected by copyright. These terms do not transfer any ownership to you.

6. Availability and changes

We work to keep the app available and accurate, but we do not promise it will always be available or error-free. We may add, change or remove features.

7. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, the app is provided "as is", and Team LekhMitra is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for decisions made using information from the app without checking it against official records.

8. Ending your use

You can stop using the app and ask us to delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes are subject to the courts of Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.

10. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we will update the effective date and, for important changes, tell you in the app. Continuing to use the app after that means you accept the updated terms.
